    Qualifications

    In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.     This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

    A 40 hour work week is typical for this position.

    A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

    This position is eligible for situational part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

    Work is normally performed in an office setting. Duties may require some travel to different offices, military and civilian, within the local area, as well as occasional travel to areas away from the FFSC.

    Incumbent may be required to board Navy vessels to provide FFSC programs to crew-members while the ship is in port or underway en route to home port from last port call. Employees must be able tom traverse ladders on board Navy vessels.

    In case of emergency situations involving military families, incumbent may be on a twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days per week, on-call status. Situations will be interpreted by higher authority as to determination of an emergency, but, in most cases, would be natural disasters or disasters at sea to ships and/or planes.
