Child Life Specialist jobs in Pittsfield, MA
Child Life Specialist is responsible for the design and implementation of pediatric programs, therapies, and activities among young patients. Works with families to assist in caring for childhood hospitalizations or disabilities. Being a Child Life Specialist monitors child development to ensure normal progression. Provides in-depth care as needed to more urgent cases. Additionally, Child Life Specialist may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Child Life Specialist typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. The Eligibility Specialist is responsible for coordinating and providing child care financial assistance determination to families in the Windham Agency of Human Services region.
Responsibilities:
- Collect information to determine client eligibility for child care financial assistance
- Maintain family files and provide information about child care financial assistance to clients and service providers
- Provide outreach and support to community around the Child Care Financial Assistance program (CCFAP)
- Monitor CCFAP status through regular reviews
- Monitor provider payments and make adjustments as necessary
- Inform and assist clients in applying for Economic Services programs
- Participate in interagency committees to improve services to providers and families such as Statewide CCFAP or other related meetings.
Minimum of associates degree required. Position is full-time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
