Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Bilingual Family Engagement Specialist (English & fluent Spanish) at our office located in Mt. Arlington, NJ who has availability evenings and weekends. This will be a TEMPORARY 6 - month position. Experience with virtual training/teaching and virtual learning a must in the current climate! The Bilingual Family Engagement Specialist will provide family support services through the coordination of parent engagement events, community events and meetings, and collaborative efforts and partnerships with other staff and agencies. The Family Engagement Specialist is also responsible for educating and informing families on accessing desired and necessary services leading to positive child development outcomes while using strengthening families’ strategies to support New Jersey’s early care and educational system.
Other responsibilities include providing training and instructional direction in improving the quality of early and school-age care and early childhood education programs through the alignment and coordination of system wide initiatives. This position directly assists programs with implementing quality improvement standards. This position is also is the main instructor for the Spanish CDA program offered at Child & Family Resources and is responsible for ensuring continuity of program standards, provider/program recruitment, and reporting. Duties include, but are not limited to, coaching/mentoring, providing technical assistance, maintaining IACET Accreditation Standards, and performs other duties as assigned. Early Childhood Educational experience needed (but not required).

Knowledge of developmental screening, Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ)

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in-writing (in-person and virtually)
Ability to coordinate a variety of schedules and work independently with limited direction
Ability to complete projects under tight deadlines even when there are competing requirement and changes in assignments (multitasking)
Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to successfully interface with others
