Child Life Specialist is responsible for the design and implementation of pediatric programs, therapies, and activities among young patients. Works with families to assist in caring for childhood hospitalizations or disabilities. Being a Child Life Specialist monitors child development to ensure normal progression. Provides in-depth care as needed to more urgent cases. Additionally, Child Life Specialist may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Child Life Specialist typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. The primary function of this position is to assist the Director Operations of a kitchen facility; to develop and prepare menus and large quantities of food items on a day to day basis that follows the CACFP Standards and Guidelines. The major objective of this position is to keep Food Service Department running effectively and allow the director to focus on food nutrients and menu planning.

-Verifying portion of size of servings daily
-Ensure proper labeling and storage of foods and supplies weekly
-Oversee and assists in the preparation of food in large quantities daily.
-Ensure quantity and quality of food production and service.
Oversight of Sanitation:
-Ensure cleaning of dishes and kitchen equipment daily
-Ensure cleaning of child seating and eating areas
-Ensure proper food preparation with safe handling daily
-Follow OSHA and Serve Safe standards and company policies daily.
-To follow all procedures and safe work practices in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Cooking & Serving:
-Prepare food by adhering to nutrition and presentation standards, and preparation procedures daily.
-Ensure food quality daily.
-Setting up of eating area and the serving of food daily
-Correct and consistent portioning of servings daily.
-Ensure guests are being served with superior service daily.
-Preparing meals for breakfast, lunch, PM Snack.
