Being a Childbirth Educator reviews class material and recommends changes based on educational standards. May assist in developing new content. Additionally, Childbirth Educator may require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Childbirth Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:- Basic Computer skills

Minimum Work Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
o Advanced skills in Med/Surg/ICU, ED, Maternal/Child, preferred
Minimum Education/Certifications/Licenses
- Current or compact RN licensure in the state of Idaho required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in adult education principles, preferred
