    This professional position offers a hybrid, flexible schedule!

    The Family Health Educator is a committed individual who provides health education and support services to the community in the areas of Family Health, focusing on childbirth and related topics. This position provides a crucial link to the hospital and prepares families for childbirth, their hospital stay, and early postpartum period in our family-centered care environment before they transition home. This position will provide flexibility in scheduling.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree or coursework in nursing, education, health care, or health management.
    • Certification as a childbirth educator, or willingness to become certified within the first year of hire
    • Experience in Postpartum or Labor and Delivery
    • Educational preparation in principles and theory of adult education.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience with technology.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and group setting.
    • Teaching with organizational principles in mind and with an understanding of hospital policies and procedures.
    • Able to incorporate different methods of learning into groups, including the use of all types of audio-visual equipment.
    • Remains current with all learning applications, evaluations, and meetings throughout the year.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • RN License and/or experience in obstetrics, labor and delivery and postpartum
    • Experience in Labor Support or Doula work.
