Chiropractor conducts chiropractic treatments and cares for patients with health problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system. Evaluates patients' condition based on their symptoms and medical history. Being a Chiropractor examines spine and posture, conducts tests or takes X rays. Provides neuromusculoskeletal therapy. Additionally, Chiropractor requires a doctorate degree in chiropractic (DC). Must pass either National Board tests or state examinations to obtain a license. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Chiropractor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Duties:
- Diagnose and treat patients with musculoskeletal conditions
- Perform chiropractic adjustments and manipulations to relieve pain and improve mobility
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments and medical history
- Educate patients on proper posture, ergonomics, and exercises for injury prevention and rehabilitation
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics
- Proficient in performing chiropractic adjustments and manipulations
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills to educate and motivate patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Personal Injury experience a plus.
