Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mold Setter to join our team. As a Mold Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining molds for plastic injection molding machines. This is a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient and accurate production of high-quality plastic parts. Responsibilities: - Set up molds on plastic injection molding machines according to production requirements - Install and align mold components, including inserts, cores, and cavities - Adjust machine settings and parameters to ensure proper mold function and product quality - Monitor machine operation during production runs to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions - Perform regular maintenance on molds, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components - Collaborate with production team members to optimize mold performance and minimize downtime - Conduct quality inspections of molded parts using calipers and other measuring tools - Troubleshoot and resolve any mold-related problems or defects - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements: - Previous experience as a Mold Setter or similar role in a manufacturing environment - Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and equipment - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices - Proficient in using hand tools for mold assembly, disassembly, and maintenance - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications - Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment If you are a skilled Mold Setter looking for an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing team, we encourage you to apply.
