The Core Sinto Setter position performs tasks in the mold preparation area, including cope preparation, drag cleaning, core setting, and general finish construction of the mold.

Pay Rate: $21.05/Hour

Employees are scheduled (4) 10 hour days per week.  Grede Browntown has Mandatory Overtime.

What You'll Do:

• Assist Mold Sinto Line with removal of the cope or drag from the molding.
• Per written process instructions, performs various tasks to clean, prepare, and build mold for construction of a quality piece for pouring. 
• Preparing pouring cup, gating filters, cope rope, mold coatings, and core setting.
• Follows all written and verbal direction, including process, safety, and housekeeping of work area.
• Performs all tasks ensuring compliance of basic purpose and works as a member of the total molding team to ensure a quality product.
• Attend the scrap review meeting each day.
• Participate in the reduction of scrap.
• Inform supervisor of any operational and or quality problem.
• Able to perform all molding tasks to fill in for unattended positions.
• Additional duties as may be required.

What We Need From You:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to comprehend and produce written and verbal directions. 
• Must be trained in basic safety requirements including, hazard recognition, and PPE use.
• Must have physical capability to move freely throughout facility, walk, stand, bend, and lift fifty pounds periodically. 
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
