  • Job Overview:
    We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching dance techniques and choreography to students of various ages and skill levels. This is a paid position that offers opportunities for career growth and development.

    Responsibilities:
    - Develop and implement dance lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to the needs of individual students
    - Teach dance techniques, including but not limited to ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and Latin styles.
    - Demonstrate proper dance moves and techniques for students to follow
    - Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills
    - Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and teamwork
    - Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere
    - Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to organize performances, recitals, or competitions
    - Stay updated on current trends in dance education and incorporate new teaching methods when appropriate

    Skills:

    -education and experience in teaching dance or a background in dance
    - Strong knowledge of various dance styles and techniques
    - Ability to effectively communicate and educate students of different age groups and backgrounds
    - Excellent classroom management skills to maintain discipline and engagement
    - Proficient in lesson planning, including creating age-appropriate activities and exercises
    - Understanding of childhood development principles to adapt teaching methods accordingly
    - Experience in theater dance is a plus
