Choreographer creates, teaches and/or directs dances for ballet, musical, or revue, to be performed in a variety production mediums. Applies a wide range techniques to dance. Responsibilities:
- Create and choreograph dance routines for ages 2-16
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate age-appropriate dance techniques and activities
- Provide instruction and guidance to students during dance classes
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate performances and events
- Assist with costume selection, fitting
- Capture memorable moments by taking photographs during classes and performances
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a dance
- Strong knowledge and background in dance,
- Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to provide constructive feedback to students
- Flexibility in adapting choreography to meet the needs of different skill levels
- Passion for working with young dancers and fostering their love for dance
