Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team. As a Dance Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your love for dance and inspire students of all ages. Duties:
- Develop and implement dance lesson plans for various age groups and skill levels
- Teach a variety of dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and more
- Provide instruction on proper dance techniques, terminology, and form
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students
- Choreograph dance routines for performances and competitions
- Conduct regular assessments to track student progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to plan and coordinate events
- Ensure the safety of all students during dance classes and performances
- Maintain a clean and organized dance studio
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in various dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, etc.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively teach and interact with students of all ages
- Classroom management abilities to maintain discipline and create an engaging learning environment
- Experience working with children and adults in an educational or childcare setting
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Creativity in choreographing dance routines that showcase students' skills
- Knowledge of music selection and editing for dance performances
- Basic sewing skills for costume alterations or repairs
- Culinary skills for planning and organizing studio events or parties
