Reviews designs, tests and assesses materials, and performs necessary data collection and calculations in areas such as traffic forecasting, soil capacity, groundwater analysis, and structure design. Being a Civil Engineer responsibilities also include estimating costs, estimating personnel and material needs, preparing proposals, and establishing completion dates. May also assist in inspecting aging infrastructure or overseeing improvement projects. Additionally, Civil Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Mesabi Metallics Company is searching for a candidate to fill an entry-level civil engineering position at our project site in northern Minnesota. The Mesabi project is located in Itasca County on the west end of the Mesabi Iron Range near Grand Rapids, Minnesota. The Mesabi project is one of the largest construction and mining projects in Minnesota history.
