Civil Engineer designs and supervises construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, or roads. Reviews designs, tests and assesses materials, and performs necessary data collection and calculations in areas such as traffic forecasting, soil capacity, groundwater analysis, and structure design. Being a Civil Engineer responsibilities also include estimating costs, estimating personnel and material needs, preparing proposals, and establishing completion dates. May also assist in inspecting aging infrastructure or overseeing improvement projects. Additionally, Civil Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. May require a Professional Engineer License (PE). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Civil Engineer work is closely managed.     Key Responsibilities

    Assist in the design, permitting and construction admin/management of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects using industry-standard software and methodologies.

    • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and reports under the guidance of senior engineers.

    • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.

    • Participate in project meetings and coordinate with team members, clients, and contractors to achieve project objectives.

    • Support the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents.

    • Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to advance towards professional engineering licensure.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.

    • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in civil or environmental engineering projects.

    • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid foundation in engineering principles.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills and programs

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    • A commitment to ethical engineering practices
