Civil Engineer designs and supervises construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, or roads. Reviews designs, tests and assesses materials, and performs necessary data collection and calculations in areas such as traffic forecasting, soil capacity, groundwater analysis, and structure design. Being a Civil Engineer responsibilities also include estimating costs, estimating personnel and material needs, preparing proposals, and establishing completion dates. May also assist in inspecting aging infrastructure or overseeing improvement projects. Additionally, Civil Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. May require a Professional Engineer License (PE). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Civil Engineer work is closely managed. We are seeking to hire a project engineer who possesses sound engineering skills and encompasses an attitude of continual improvement with desires to work in a positive and rewarding environment.

    Responsibilities
    * Work on a team to fund, plan, and design a variety of municipal water, wastewater, water resources, utility, site development, and transportation projects
    * Develop project scope, budget, schedule, and project delivery plans
    * Develop studies, reports, design drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents
    * Make public presentations
    * Provide funding and bidding assistance, and construction management for water, wastewater, site development, other municipal infrastructure projects,
    and/or transportation
    * Assist with office management responsibilities
    * Assist with client relations and business development efforts

    Qualifications
    * 3 plus years of relevant experience designing water, wastewater, water resources, and/or other infrastructure projects for public entities (cities, counties, ports,
    districts, etc.).
    * Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (Master's preferred)
    * Licensed Professional Engineer (Oregon license preferred)
    * Valid driver's license
    * Public speaking skills with experience participating in meetings with clients, the public, and contractors
    * Experience in developing and writing planning documents, work agreements, and task orders
    * Project management experience including managing subconsultants
    * Ability to lead, train, and motivate others and contribute to a team environment
    * Experience in developing effective long-lasting relationships with clients, peers, and management
    * Experience with scheduling, managing resources, reviewing, and timely deliverables
