Civil Engineer designs and supervises construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, or roads. Reviews designs, tests and assesses materials, and performs necessary data collection and calculations in areas such as traffic forecasting, soil capacity, groundwater analysis, and structure design. Being a Civil Engineer responsibilities also include estimating costs, estimating personnel and material needs, preparing proposals, and establishing completion dates. May also assist in inspecting aging infrastructure or overseeing improvement projects. Additionally, Civil Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. May require a Professional Engineer License (PE). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Civil Engineer work is closely managed.     C.T. Male Associates, a multi-discipline engineering consulting firm in the Northeast, is seeking to fill an entry level Civil Engineer in the Civil Engineering and Land Services Division at our Johnstown, NY office. This full-time position offers unlimited potential for advancement and skills development. In this position, you will perform civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering and land development design tasks such as investigation and design of dams, a variety of water/wastewater distribution and treatment systems, site design and engineering, stormwater analysis and engineering, among other typical industry tasks. You will also have opportunities for project site reconnaissance, construction observation, and for the preparation of project scopes of service, time and cost estimations.

    Requirements:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited college or university or one to three years of experience in Civil Engineering or the equivalent combination of both
    • E.I.T. is preferred
    • Strong team skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, 3D and/or Tedds preferred
    • Willingness to undergo drug testing or fingerprinting as may be required by specific client projects
    • Valid driver's license

    Pay Range: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
