JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking to hire a full time Civil Site Engineer to join our team of engineers. The position will require knowledge in civil site design for commercial and residential projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Required Software Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, basic knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Proficient at site layout, grading, stormwater, utilities, and permitting.
- An understanding of the practical application of civil engineering including applying principles, techniques, and procedures to a project design.
- Knowledge of civil design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, reports, drawings, and models.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply knowledge of materials, hydraulic analysis, utility design, and roadway geometry to project design tasks.
- Ability to work as a team member and independently.
- Ability to research knowledge and techniques that are unfamiliar (Reference manuals, technical resources, etc.)
- Perform calculations, coordinate between different design elements, document designs, and specifications.
- Calculate stormwater runoff, slopes, item quantities, etc.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers, clients, and the public, in a clear concise manner both orally and in written documents.
- Travel to client work sites and offices for design reviews, site visits, field verifications, and construction observation.
- Ability to pass screening and background checks for admittance to client sites.
