Civil Engineering Supervisor jobs in Lacey, WA
Civil Engineering Supervisor supervises a team of civil engineers who design and develop construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, and roads. Ensures maintenance of equipment and adherence to safety prevention measures. Being a Civil Engineering Supervisor monitors personnel needs and schedules staff accordingly. Also responsible for preparing proposals, establishing completion dates and cost estimates, and evaluation results. Additionally, Civil Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically requires the Certified Professional Engineer (PE) credential. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Responsibilities and Duties
The Civil Engineering Technician shall be responsible for producing construction plans and other technical drawings for site development projects. Job tasks consist of setting up drawings per company standards, drafting redlines in coordination with engineers, back-checking work for completeness and accuracy, and managing plan sets and associated revisions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in drafting/designing site development projects using Civil 3D, surface modeling, corridors, pipe networks, dynamics labeling and plan production functions.
- Minimum 5 years Civil 3D and AutoCAD drafting experience.
- A 2-year Civil Tech Degree is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A personal commitment to excellence.
