Civil Engineering Supervisor jobs in Lima, OH
Civil Engineering Supervisor supervises a team of civil engineers who design and develop construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, and roads. Ensures maintenance of equipment and adherence to safety prevention measures. Being a Civil Engineering Supervisor monitors personnel needs and schedules staff accordingly. Also responsible for preparing proposals, establishing completion dates and cost estimates, and evaluation results. Additionally, Civil Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically requires the Certified Professional Engineer (PE) credential. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Job Duties

- Prepare calculation packages, technical reports and letters
- Participates in conceptual foundation design meetings with other engineering staff to reflect product design intent.
- Interfaces directly with the sales team, construction group, engineering team, and customers as needed to provide technical support
Position Requirements:
- Geotechnical/Construction foundation experience preferred
- BS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering preferred or Associates degree in engineering related field with equivalent experience
- Project Management experience
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Self-motivated
- Detail Oriented
- Willingness to learn new skills & processes
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products focusing on Word & Excel
- Strong verbal and written skills with working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
