Civil Engineering Supervisor supervises a team of civil engineers who design and develop construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, and roads. Ensures maintenance of equipment and adherence to safety prevention measures. Being a Civil Engineering Supervisor monitors personnel needs and schedules staff accordingly. Also responsible for preparing proposals, establishing completion dates and cost estimates, and evaluation results. Additionally, Civil Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically requires the Certified Professional Engineer (PE) credential. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Civil Project Engineer

  • RH2 is currently seeking an experienced, collaborative Civil Project Engineer for our Tacoma, WA office. This position will be working with other RH2 team members in the planning, designing, and construction of water, wastewater, irrigation, stormwater, and transportation projects.     Responsibilities

    • Lead design efforts and coordination of multi-discipline design teams
    • Assumes project management role on small or sub projects
    • Interact directly with clients and review agencies
    • Provide project management and marketing support efforts on a variety of projects
    • Mentor and direct Engineers-In-Training (EIT or Staff Engineers)

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science or higher degree in either Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Minimally four (4) years of applicable skills and experience, preferably in public sector consulting
    • Experience with water and/or wastewater planning and design projects including pipelines and collection systems, pump stations, storage tanks, and treatment projects strongly preferred
    • Ability to support projects from design through construction
    • Experience with local and regional design standards and ability to apply those standards to design and analysis
    • Experience coordinating other engineers and permitting agencies as well as interacting with clients
    • Current P.E. license in the State of Washington

    Compensation

    Individual compensation will vary within a range based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position. RH2 values our employees’ work/life balance and compensates overtime for hours exceeding 40 regular hours in a work week.
