Job description

CSR Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our middle Tennessee office. As the Civil Engineer you will play a key role in designing, planning, and managing various Civil Engineering projects across the State of Tennessee and beyond.

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 2-5 years of experience designing and creating plans and specifications for all aspects of transportation projects
• PE in Tennessee (or obtained within 30 days)
• Available to work as Project Engineer and lead other designers and technicians

Preferences will be given to candidates with

• 5-10 years of experience with civil projects
• PE licenses in other states
• Water/Wastewater public utility based engineering design
• Site Design (industrial, commercial or residential) based engineering design
• Construction, field and survey experience
• Currently located in Tennessee or near CSR office locations

Qualifications/Skills needed:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Familiarity with local/state/federal permits involved in civil projects

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and layout of site plans, including grading, drainage, and utility systems, while adhering to regulatory requirements and project specifications.
• Design and oversee the installation of utility systems, such as water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management, to support site development and functionality.
• Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning ordinances, environmental regulations, and building codes.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and contractors, to coordinate project requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
• Assist in project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication, to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
