P O S I T I O N D E S C R I P T I O N
Whipple Consulting Engineers is presently seeking qualified candidates for a Civil Engineering Designer/Technician located in Spokane Valley, WA. Compensation depends on experience.

Projects primarily include private sector land development type projects in the Northwestern United States.

E D U C A T I O N / E X P E R I E N C E
A certificate or associates degree in Drafting or similar. Two years of CAD drafting experience preferred but not required. Experience in preparing Civil Engineering site plans preferred but not required.

Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
Knowledge and experience of civil engineering general design and principles.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Proficiency would mean active Civil3D experience, plan preparation and grading.

R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S
Participate in multi-disciplinary teams on projects.
Coordinate with project managers, project engineers, clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors.
Review Civil drawings and specifications.
Prepare final design Civil Engineering and Topographical survey drawings using AutoCAD.
Coordinate details with Architect and General Contractor.
Draft/Detail various civil design and infrastructure components for final plans.
Organize CAD drawings using drawing components from external sources.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
