Claims Analyst analyzes and reviews insurance claims for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility. Reviews claims for eligibility to be reimbursed. Being a Claims Analyst maintains updated records and prepares required documentation. Assists in controlling the cost of processing claims. Additionally, Claims Analyst contacts policyholders about claims and may provide information regarding the amount of benefits. May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Claims Analyst gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Duties:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically autism
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with the assessment and evaluation of client needs
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to develop and modify treatment plans
- Support clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills
- Implement positive behavior support strategies
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients
Skills:
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs, preferably in a special education or behavioral therapy setting
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles
- Ability to collect and analyze data accurately
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Note: Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for candidates who do not have RBT certification.
