    Summary

    The Workers’ Compensation Claims Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the risk department and will be responsible for the overall processes of the administration, submission, delivery, compliance and communication of the company’s Workers Compensation. They will work closely and coordinate with other teams internally, including Human Resources, Safety, and Operations.


    Essential Functions

    • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the organizations Workers’ Compensation program.
    • Analyze workers compensation claims and claim data.
    • Maintain accurate and organized records for all workers compensation claims.
    • Investigate and resolve any claim discrepancies.
    • Provide requested information to Third Party Administrators (TPA) or key stakeholders in a timely manner.
    • Communicate with associates and managers, as needed, regarding the information needed to process claims and regarding work-related restrictions and return to work and serve as primary contact for associates and managers regarding any workers compensation related questions.
    • Serve as liaison with the Workers Compensation third party administrator (TPA), ensuring quality delivery of services, accurate and timely claim administration, and effective cost management.
    • Partner with the Risk Manager to implement effective end-to-end claim management, identifying options for cost containment, evaluating requests for settlement of claims, initiating reviews and investigations, and facilitating timely return to work.
    • Attend and participate in quarterly claims review meetings with the Risk Manager, TPA and Legal Counsel providing thoughtful and valuable claim recommendations for resolving claims.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, including required postings.
    • Stay current with trends, laws and regulations related to Workers Compensation.
    • Monitor and analyze claims data, activity and trends.
    • Assists Risk Manager with communications and internal training programs related to Workers Compensation.
    • Produce statistical data driven claim reports for Risk Management, Finance, and Operations.
    • Assist with the development of new procedures and processes for improving the handling of Workers Compensation claims
    • Schedule and coordinate meetings monthly to review WC claims with Risk Manager
    • Provide support for other projects, as needed, within the corporate risk management department.

    • Specialized knowledge and experience in workers compensation and applicable laws across multiple jurisdictions preferred.
