Claims Analyst analyzes and reviews insurance claims for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility. Reviews claims for eligibility to be reimbursed. Being a Claims Analyst maintains updated records and prepares required documentation. Assists in controlling the cost of processing claims. Additionally, Claims Analyst contacts policyholders about claims and may provide information regarding the amount of benefits. May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Claims Analyst gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. NJM’s Workers’ Compensation Claims Team is seeking a Regional Claims Specialist. This is a full-time position and offers a hybrid schedule after training.
The Regional Claims Specialist will be responsible for contacting all parties involved in the claim, gathering, and securing all necessary information to effectively evaluate the claim, and outlining and recommending an action plan to manage the claim. The Regional Claim Specialist will work with and communicate to all internal and external stakeholders, including: NJM policyholders, injured workers, medical providers, the NJM Medical Services Administration Department, the NJM Special Investigation Unit, WC Legal Staff, and other departments within NJM, as well as outside defense counsel and vendors.
This role can be based in NJM’s West Trenton, NJ or Hammonton, NJ office location.
