Description:

Loss Drafts Clerks will assisting customers with claims on their homeowner’s insurance. Perform customer service and administrative duties with insurance claim processing for the Loss Draft Department. The employee manages the loss claim from the point of reporting through completion of the repairs. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to respond to questions and requests from clients, staff, borrowers, contractors, adjusters, and agents quickly and accurately. Claims can be very dramatic like a fire or a flood. The role will consist of assisting clients with releasing funds to be paid to restoration companies to perform repairs on their property. Most of the time there is more information or guidelines that need to be met before these funds can be released

The role is split up between outbound calling and data entry

The employee's duties will include:

• Anywhere between 10 and 40 outbound calls each day
• Perform data entry into the loss draft module
• Use of insurance tracking and servicing databases to confirm loan and claim details
• Make outbound calls to verify claim details and perform procurement attempts
• Hold drawer check research
• Ad-hoc document indexing
• Assist with special projects as needed
• Monitor and respond to incoming emails
• Knowledge of multiple clients’ requirements and expectations including business rules and investor requirements

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE:

• office experience in a customer service, administrative, data entry or production role (1 year)
• ATTENDANCE: must be there every day! Check Refs!
• tech savvy - able to use multiple monitors, multiple programs running at one time
• at least 35 WPM - test!
• great verbal and written communication skills
• analytical, ability to solve a problem (in this case the claim)
• active internet connection at home, if they are to work a hybrid schedule in the future

NICE TO HAVE:

• basic to intermediate excel skills
• insurance or mortgage experience in any capacity
• homeowner claims experience

DQ's:

• unable to work in the office
