Higginbotham, a privately held, independent insurance and financial services firm that ranks within the top 20 nationwide, has an immediate opening for a Director, E&O Claims in our Fort Worth, TX office. in our Fort Worth, TX office.

This position is responsible for the intake, review, documentation, and resolution of E&O claims.

Essential Tasks:

• Responsible for the intake of E&O claims, subpoenas, and litigation.
• Investigate the nature of the claims.
• Investigate the associated insurance policies to determine what should be covered.
• Document and track status of all claims and navigate to resolution.
• Serve as liaison and collaborate with external counsel.
• Communicate with all internal and external parties involved.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills
• Computer literacy with at least an intermediate level in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of claims processing guidelines and best practices.
• Knowledge of claims settlement and insurance claims practices.
• Ability to utilizes great judgment to plan, accomplish goals and effectively solve problems with a variety of scenarios
• Ability to make decisions based on sound knowledge using resources provided
• Performs a variety of tasks that may require a limited degree of supervision

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years or more of previous insurance industry experience preferred.
• Complex claims adjustor experience a plus*

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens
• Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person
• Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key
• Walking, bending, sitting, reaching and stretching in all directions
