Claims Director directs and oversees the operations of an insurance claims department to meet operational, financial, and service requirements. Establishes policies and procedures for the administration of insurance claims for personal, property, or casualty loss based on coverage, appraisal, and verifiable damage. Being a Claims Director is responsible for the strategic processing and payment of claims. Maintains up-to-date- knowledge of legislation, regulations, and industry events which pertain to insurance claims. Additionally, Claims Director provides expert guidance and consultation to staff on the most complex claims. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Claims Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Claims Investigator to join our team. As a Claims Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into claims. Your role will involve reviewing and collecting data from BOL's, identifying and contacting appropriate parties via email and phone. This position requires computer knowledge, typing skills, and attention to detail.

- Reviewing BOL's
- Contacting appropriate parties involved in a professional approach.
- Conduct research to gather information and evidence related to claims
- Perform activities to gather additional information as needed
- Prepare detailed notes outlining investigation findings
- Maintain accurate and organized records of investigations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a Office is REQUIRED.
- Must be able to type 45 wpm or higher.
- Familiarity with adobe, word, excel required.
-Sufficient with Microsoft 365
- Strong research skills with the ability to gather information from various sources
- Experience in Freight Industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of report writing standards and practices
