Our client is a personal and commercial insurance carrier with over 80 years of experience. They insure various entities but specialize in commercial auto liability, auto physical damage, general liability for government entities and municipalities.

They are looking for an experience Multi-line Claims Examiner to be a part of their Columbia, SC team. The Company offers stability, great culture and the opportunity to work with a great team of claims professionals.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Investigate personal property, commercial property and casualty claims
• Process claims in compliance within fair claims practices and state regulations
• Review policy and make coverage recommendations
• Negotiate settlement within settlement authority
• Establish and adjust loss reserves on pending cases

Qualifications/Experience:

• 7 years industry experience with multi-line claims experience preferred
• Associate Degree
• South Carolina Adjuster’s License
• Industry continuing education preferred
• Decision making and prioritization skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of medical conditions and terminology

This role is 100% in office and reports directly to the Claims Supervisor. They offer a yearly holiday bonus, comparable benefits package and profit sharing.
