Summary
- Process health claims to completion in both paper and electronic form
- Respond to telephone inquiries from participants and providers
- Resolve calls to completion, including investigation and call back if necessary
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate consistent pleasant representation of the health plan and company
- Demonstrate consistent accuracy in providing benefit information
- Ability to explain insurance benefits and payment in layman’s terms
- Verify system information for specific demographics or coverage
- Assist with written bilingual documents when necessary
- Assist in other duties as assigned during any down time
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish is a requirement
- Superior communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy required
- Microsoft Windows and Office productions experience
- Ability to organize and multi-task a plus
- Knowledge of health insurance a plus
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
Work Experience
- Experience in customer service call center or similar position a plus
- Experience in health insurance administration support or medical billing customer support
Education
- High School diploma or GED required
Work Schedule
Full time (less than 40 hours but more than 30). Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm. Requires in-office days but also offers at-home
flexibility.

Pay
This is a union position. The pay rate offered is determined by the collective bargaining agreement and may be dependent on experience, education, location and other business factors. The current range for this position is $20.02 - $32.69 per hour.
