The main purpose of this position is to examine and manage both medical only and lost time workmen's compensation claims in accordance with the Nebraska Workmen's Compensation Act.

- Receive phone calls from employees reporting of an injury, filing a claim, or inquiring about a claim.
- Coordinate medical bills and manage claims related to an injury, until the claim is closed.
- Enter data into the computer system dealing with information within a claim such as medical status, medical bills, reports, and wage loss.
- Examine Workmen's Compensation claims and determine approval or denial of claims.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- Knowledge in operating a PC.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited college with emphasis in Business Management
or Insurance preferred or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Two to three years experience with workers' compensation claims processing or equivalent experience
preferred.
- One to two years of experience in insurance operations preferred.
- Receive phone calls from employees reporting of an injury, filing a claim, or inquiring about a claim.
