Banding / Packer

Bander / Packer is responsible for packaging raw materials and or finished goods for shipping while ensuring that safety, quality, and production standards are met.

Responsibilities:

Bander / Packer is responsible for performing quality control inspections for compliance with customer specifications and production requirements.

Job Requirements:

Essential Functions:

• Must have strong mathematical skills
• Possess keen attention to detail
• Perform tasks associated with Machine / Job set up (Safety, Quality, Accuracy, Time)
• Accurate record keeping and legible handwriting
• Ability to meet schedules and timelines
• Flexibility with overtime opportunities
• Ability to operate fork lift and overhead crane

Computer Skills:

IF REQUIRED: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires above average of Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is to remain in a stationary position for 60 percent of the time. The individual needs to occasionally move about on the shop floor to transport parts, access tools, equipment, and other necessary items to complete the work order. They use their hands continuously while performing all job duties. They must be able to exchange accurate information with other individuals in the office and shop. Must be able to detect mechanical issues and part defects from short distances to determine what action needs to be taken. They must regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 60 pounds. The individual must be capable of carrying and loading different parts and tools required to do the job.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

It is always mandatory on the plant floor to wear Personal Protective Equipment due to exposure of machinery. During warmer months, the required personal protective equipment may cause the employee to be very warm while working. The individual will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
