Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Claims Processor. As a Claims Processor, you will be responsible for accurately processing and reviewing medical claims and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines. Duties: - Review and process medical claims for accuracy and completeness - Verify patient information, medical documentation, and coding accuracy - Utilize medical coding systems such as HCPCS and DRG to assign appropriate codes - Ensure claims are processed in accordance with workers compensation laws and regulations - Maintain organized files and documentation for each claim - Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding claim status or additional information needed - Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the claims process - Collaborate with other team members to improve efficiency and accuracy in claims processing Experience: - Previous experience in medical claims processing or related field preferred - Knowledge of medical records, medical coding, and medical billing processes - Familiarity with coding systems such as HCPCS and DRG - Understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation We offer competitive pay rates and benefits packages.
