Claims Processing Manager manages the administration of health insurance claims, payment processing, billing research, and responding to inquiries. Ensures timely and proper disposition of claims in accordance with coverage amounts. Being a Claims Processing Manager trains staff on organizational policies and ensures procedures are followed at all times. Provides guidance on more complex or high-value claims. Additionally, Claims Processing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Claims Processing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.     A successful Claims Coordinator shall assist the Risk Manager by researching claims, investigating incidents, and/or preparing fact sheets for claims review. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of General Liability, Auto, and Workers Compensation claims; ability to use a computer and other office related equipment; ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data.

    Essential Functions:

    In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:

    • the ability to work safely, with or without supervision;
    • the ability to read understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness;
    • excellent manual dexterity;
    • the ability to organize workload to determine priority of duties;
    • the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts;
    • the ability to function effectively in a high-stress situation;
    • the ability to work seated at a table for extended periods;

    Responsibilities:

    • Completion of low level tasks in support of an assigned department/project.
    • Receive, organize, file, and maintain documents and/or data for an assigned department/project.
    • Create, update, validate and forward various forms of communication to internal and external recipients.
    • Read, interpret, and input data in support of an assigned department/project.
    Qualifications:
    • Prior work related experience.
    • Proficient in the use of office hardware and software. (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
    • Excellent Customer Service skills and strong English language skills both oral and written.
    • Authorized to work in the United States.
    • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.

    Workplace Environment and Physical Demands:

    To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements to complete computer related tasks and/or other office functions.
