Claims Processing Manager manages the administration of health insurance claims, payment processing, billing research, and responding to inquiries. Ensures timely and proper disposition of claims in accordance with coverage amounts. Being a Claims Processing Manager trains staff on organizational policies and ensures procedures are followed at all times. Provides guidance on more complex or high-value claims. Additionally, Claims Processing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Claims Processing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Claims Processing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Job Responsibilities
    • Overall resource management, supervision, and policy implementation and enforcement for employees who are deployed to a disaster and are working within a FEMA organizational chart at the client site. This includes ability to lead and work effectively with others, deliver constructive and honest feedback, and effectively communicate to team and/or supervisors in open and timely manner.
    • Understanding and managing team to work within the contractual scope, schedule and budget, including financial management and reporting requirements.
    • Management of conflict of interest for the work being performed at disaster location.
    • Employee staffing, including backfills and assisting with new hire orientation training and logistics.
    • Assist in resolution of employee questions, problems and complaints in partnership with Human Resources and Client.
    • Management of employee resources and training needed to deliver quality work in a safe and healthy working environment.
    • Using data to track and manage workloads to meet client deadlines and to report progress in a timely manner.

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • 10 years of related experience.
    • Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
    • Previous experience with disaster recovery or insurance adjusting preferred
    • Claims Experience preferred
    • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
