POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the marketing and sales of GPC products assigned to the food, personal care and pharmaceutical industries.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Marketing and sale of products assigned to the Specialty Ingredients group
• Report on customer activities including new applications, industry developments, and market trends
• Report all competitive activity, such a pricing, new products, policy, or quality
• Maintains up-to-date sales records in Kent CRM
• Conducts market surveys and other special assignments
• Initiates and maintains personal, phone and written contracts with customer and makes the sale
• Cultivates accounts by maintaining close business relationships with Procurement, Product Development, Production, Research, Marketing, and other partners who influence purchasing decisions
• Develops and maintains contracts necessary to general customer and competitive intelligence
• Identifies new accounts and develops current accounts in the territory to grow and build business at these accounts
• Oversee new customer setup process for all Specialty Ingredient accounts
• Pricing liaison between sales and customer service
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor of Science degree in a relative field of study required
• Ability to work and perform within the framework of the Company’s long tern objectives
• Instinctive feel for markets and ability to relate to the needs of the same
• Demonstrated ability to isolate problems into proper perspective
• Honest, with a high degree of personal integrity and strong ethical business values
