Claims Processing Supervisor supervises the administration of health insurance claims, payment processing, billing research, and responding to inquiries. Ensures the accurate and timely disposition of claims and resolves matters according to coverage amounts and company procedures. Being a Claims Processing Supervisor provides guidance to staff on more complex or high-value claims. Reviews and resolves escalated issues. Additionally, Claims Processing Supervisor requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Claims Processing Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Claims Processing Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Priority Medical Claims is a medical billing company focused on EMS and Ambulance claim processing. We are looking for a full time medical biller with strong skills in the claim follow up area.
Candidate must have a dedicated, and private home office AND live in or near the Beckley WV area.
Responsibilities may include:
- Identify and research insurance claim issues.
- Evaluate patient insurance coverage and inform customer of any outstanding fees or unpaid balances.
- Research and contact third party payers to collect payment.
- Ensure that all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Respond to customer inquiries; collect payments, and reconcile accounts.
- Communicate with insurance carriers, providers, and patients regarding claim status.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
