  • Basic Function:

    The Director of Digital Health leads the development and implementation of Quality Insights digital health solutions, creating pathways to accelerate the application of digital health solutions in all projects and programs so that more health workers are able to perform optimally in their jobs.  The Director of Digital Health is responsible for leading and directing the operational, financial, programmatic, and personnel activities of the digital health department. Digital health encompasses the patient and clinician experiences related to virtual care, including digital front door, virtual care visits, telehealth clinicians and remote patient monitoring technologies. The Director of Digital Health is responsible for the operational support for digital health initiatives. The Director participates and leads large-scale strategic digital health initiatives and programs to assist the organization.

    Organizational Relationships:

    Reports to the Task Order Director

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Directs program development and implementation of multi-year digital health strategy
    • Accountable for timeline management to achieve successful deployment, implementation and ongoing operations associated with digital health programs
    • Leads digital health operational project team
    • Builds, measures, and assists with reporting on telehealth business drivers such as revenue and return on investment
    • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external customers
    • Serves as an internal and external expert for telehealth compliance, program performance, market positioning, and strategic development
    • Stays up to date with emerging technology and regulatory trends that may affect the digital health program and communicates program risks to organizational leader
    • Assists organization with review of technology and supports organization in developing a program that balances patient care innovations and business needs
    • Effectively communicate across the organization regarding digital health programming and initiatives

    Skills / Professional Competencies Required:

    • Thought leader regarding the fusion of information systems and global health for the use of technology in the developing world.
    • Strong communicator with a proven ability to explain digital health technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a way that they can understand and appreciate.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact culturally, linguistically, and diplomatically with diverse internal and external individuals.
    • Comfortable managing in a flexible, changing and virtual environment, with the ability to be ready to adjust plans and direction in response to local feedback and the iterative nature of digital health projects.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required. Proficiency in another language a plus.

    Minimum Education/Training Required:

    Master’s Degree and 10 years of experience in Digital Health, Informatics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Statistics, Epidemiology, and direct NGO Programs experience all preferably in a public health environment.

    Minimum Experience Required:

    • 8 years relevant experience working in a complex healthcare environment including inpatient and outpatient settings.  

    • 5 to 7 years’ experience with directing a telehealth or digital health program.  

    • 5 years minimum of progressive leadership experience.   

    • 5 years Direct patient care experience.
