    Compensation : $18 / hour with 2nd shift premium of $1.00 / hour 3rd shift premium of $1.50 / hour

    About this Position : A Level 1 Supervisor is a newly hired supervisor. During this training period, all Level 1 Supervisors are expected to learn all TQS Inspection Processes and Procedures to ensure the correct execution in the field.

    After this training period, the Level 1 Supervisor will take the assessment to become a Level 2 Supervisor and is expected to fully understand the job requirements and will be able to run a job autonomously.

    This position is responsible for the direct coordination and supervision of a project with the assistance and guidance of the Inspection Services department.

    The individual will be available and on-call always during their shift and on-call schedules. This individual must respond within 30 minutes and report to work within one hour after receiving the call for work.

    Set shifts will be required with a holdover up to four hours

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

    • Trained to set-up the projects and establish project workflow
    • Ensure the successful execution of Inspection projects
    • Displays TQS Core Values
    • Learn to run the job site and coordinate the projects with the Inspection department
    • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
    • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor
    • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
    • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; learn to input data into quality database
    • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs
    • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
    • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
    • Set-up the projects and establish project workflow; organize personnel for inspection
    • Ensure all required tools and supplies for the project are on-site
    • Learn to direct and manage work crews as stated within the work instructions
    • Learn to prepare, review, and submit / enter necessary paperwork associated with the project
    • Communicate any changes in project procedure and / or project requirements to the Inspection department
    • Assist project crews on new procedures and project requirements
    • Learn to act as primary contact on the job site for customer and other personnel, including but not limited to progress, concerns, and potential issues
    • Obtain and maintain required certifications and authorizations as required
    • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
    • Serves as a role model in displaying initiative and assertiveness with positive problem-solving techniques and willingly performs non-assigned duties as needed
    • Maintain working knowledge of TQS policies and procedures
    • Maintain a professional and Ethical work environment / behavior
    • Liaising with staff in other departments and with external contacts
    • Review parts / job Specs
    • Coordinate parts pick-ups and deliveries
    • Travel as required
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Driver's license is required

    Requirements :

    Required Education and Experience :

    • High school degree or equivalent required
    • 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience or 2,000 hours on the job as Quality Inspector

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions :

    • Ability to sit for an extended period. Able to be mobile throughout Team Quality Services facilities and customer locations
    • Ability to work with and around others, up to 2 / 3 of the work period
    • Ability to lift or push a minimum of 50 pounds
    • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a scanner, computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components and software
    • Bending, twisting, and squatting
    • Occasional participation in events outside of regular office hours may be necessary that may include attendance at community meetings and events
    • Travel to TQS customer or service locations may be required
    • Candidate must comply with all customer and service location requirements, including, but not limited to, vaccination status.

    Employment for this position is contingent on the candidate obtaining and maintaining all customer and service location requirements, which may be subject to change at any time.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, abilities :

    • Demonstrates the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Demonstrates the ability to organize and sort paperwork, documents, and other computer-based information
    • Demonstrates the ability to photocopy and print various documents, sometimes on behalf of other colleagues
    • Demonstrates the ability to use written and verbal communication skills to deal effectively with diverse groups of people, including proficiency in using a tele / cell
    • Demonstrates ability to Manipulate statistical data
    • Knowledge of PC software applications including Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and seeks knowledge of Company Software i.e., Qnet
    • Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and able to use and verify calibration of inspection tools
    • Requires minimal level of supervision
