Claims Quality Auditor audits claims for coding accuracy, benefit payment, contract interpretation, and compliance with policies and procedures. Selects claims through random processes and/or other criteria. Being a Claims Quality Auditor makes recommendations to improve quality, workflow processes, policies and procedures. Typically requires an associate degree. Additionally, Claims Quality Auditor typically reports to a supervisor or a manager. The Final Product Auditor's main job responsibility is to inspect for non-conforming product. They will also be trained to fill in for Quality Controllers when necessary. The position is for afternoon shift which comes with a $0.75/hour shift premium (may be asked to train on day shift). Must pass criminal and drug screens. SUMMARY Sorts nonconforming product. Maintains high leven of output with little or no supervision. Promotes zero defects to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sorts nonconforming product
Travels to customers on short notice to sort nonconforming product.
Maintains a high level of output with little or no supervision.
Sets and maintains standards for sorting.
Fills in for Quality Controllers on in-process inspection.
Assists with training others on temporary sorting assignments.
Assists with other quality control duties as required or as requested by the Quality Supervisor.
Practice good housekeeping and safety rules.
Perform all other such duties and special assignments as requested by the Quality Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to use computer to perform all of the duties above. Must be able to understand SPC concepts, techniques, and procedures and be able to assist operators in these techniques.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
