    The Loss Prevention Field Auditor travels to assigned locations to conduct a physical inventory of the locations merchandise utilizing a handheld calculator.

    Education
    • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
    • Continue education through seminars, forums, courses as requested
    • Basic computer skills including E-mail, excel, Word, and texting
    Physical
    • Able to lift or move 50lbs and lift 35lbs over head (security equipment installs)
    • Able to use calculator and/or stapler for certain paperwork
    • Able to maintain extended periods of sitting, standing, reaching, bending
    • Able to climb a ladder and maintain balance
    • Able to reach a level of 7 feet into the air to count cigarettes using a two-step stepstool
    • Able to tolerate incidental exposure to motor fuel and cleaning products
    • Able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for 30 minutes
    • Able to work in a stand up freezer at a temperature 0 degrees for up to 30 minutes at a time
    • Clarity of vision near/ far distances and acceptable level of hearing
    • Able to travel long distances
    Travel
    • Maintain a valid drivers license and comply with Company Fleet Policy
    • Occasional overnight travel

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Completes accurate counts of assigned sections of the location
    • Documents inventory results on the audit count sheets
    • Notifies the store manager of any items priced incorrectly
    • Pulls out-of-code product off the shelf
    • Examines merchandise displays and ensures company standards are being met and if a problem is discovered notifies the store manager
    • Assists with New Britain Candy cigarette inventory audit at the end of every month and full physical inventory audits as scheduled
    • Assists in NBC truck audits as assigned
    • Updates and revises audit count sheets as needed
    • Organizes, copies, and files audit count sheets, audit calculator tapes, loss prevention review forms and all other related audit paperwork.
    • Keeps familiar and current with the Company Price Book, Company Policies & Procedures, Hazard Communication Manual, bulletins and other directives from the home office
    • Informs the LP Supervisor/Manager to potential unsafe and/or practices
    • Runs departmental monthly meetings as assigned
    • Verifies bank deposits daily
    • Provides background checks for new employees as requested
    • Maintains and updates location alarm codes, keys, and related decals
    • Completes additional tasks as requested or assigned by the Loss Prevention Manager
    • Maintains a positive and professional image and attitude
