Claims Quality Auditor audits claims for coding accuracy, benefit payment, contract interpretation, and compliance with policies and procedures. Selects claims through random processes and/or other criteria. Being a Claims Quality Auditor makes recommendations to improve quality, workflow processes, policies and procedures. Typically requires an associate degree. Additionally, Claims Quality Auditor typically reports to a supervisor or a manager. The Claims Quality Auditor gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job Description/Responsibilities:
You would be directly accountable for the care given to your patients.
- RN
- Med Surg/ PCU/ Tele
- Administer care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
- Implement patient treatment plans as directed by provider
- Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Educate patients about health maintenance and treatment plan
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Provide information and support to patients and their family members
Qualifications:
- Current and valid medical state license/certifications.
- Minimum of one year professional experience in similar medical setting
- Familiarity with relevant medical software and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
