Selects claims through random processes and/or other criteria. Being a Claims Quality Auditor makes recommendations to improve quality, workflow processes, policies and procedures. Typically requires an associate degree. Additionally, Claims Quality Auditor typically reports to a supervisor or a manager. Summary:
Execute the duties of any combination of: CMM operator Brown and Sharp, CMM operator Zeiss, Quality at the Source Auditor / Trainer, Cleanliness Testing, Materials Tester or Auditor. Know, understand and follow applicable Procedures and Work Instructions. Understand Quality concepts, analyze and communicate results of inspections, CMM reports, and dimensional measurements to Operators, Set up people, Engineers and Management.

Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Responsible for Operating CMMs
o Follow the documented Procedures and Work instructions as noted in the job training needs for this position
o Assist CMM Technicians, CMM Engineer and Engineering with their CMM needs, R&R and Capability Studies.
o Understand material control and final audit transactions.
· Train Quality Auditor / Operators
o Assists in mentoring other quality personnel as required
· Perform Process Audits
o Audit production processes as needed.
· Assist Quality and Engineering staff with various quality issues
o Participate in the Problem-solving process. Analyze and investigate the root cause of external and internal non-conforming product and make proposals to QE for corrective actions.
o Initiate, help execute containment and help maintain and update PLEX for timely Control of Non-Conforming Material.
· Provide support for internal plant initiatives, especially safety elements.
o Support the quality improvement, cost reduction, and customer initiative programs with the production team. Maintain a clean work area ensuring strict adherence to the 5S concepts.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· This position has not supervisory responsibilities
Education and/or Experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· One year minimum of manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
· Knowledge of quality systems, documentation and concepts.
· Effective human relations skills, including good listening ability and the capability to work within teams.
· Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
· Experience working with automotive industry specifications.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
· Prefer Certified Quality Technician or Certified Mechanical Inspector.
· Prefer an Associate Degree in Quality or related body of knowledge.
Additional Competencies
· Knowledge of IATF-16949 quality system
Physical Demands
This position requires the employee to use of hands and arms; kneel, crouch; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This positions involves working around moving machines in production facilities, handling of hazardous testing chemicals. Protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses/goggles, gloves and shoes may be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision. Employee must have good sensation essential to gauge heat exposure when working around hot equipment, dies or furnaces.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This job is performed in a shop environment: hazardous materials; greasy, slippery factory floors. Some overnight travel by car and by plane is required. Travel should not exceed 10%.
