Claims Supervisor jobs in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

· Supervise, monitor and coach the claims staff in their daily responsibilities.

· Answers and resolves claims department questions and issues that arise during the claims staff daily activities.

· Assists in the training of new employees in the claims department.

· Assists in the ongoing training of established employees in the claims department.

· Ensure that the claims staff receives updated contract and claims processing information.

· Ensures that assigned claims runs to the appropriate claims staff are completed timely.

· Report to the Claims Manager any problem area requiring further attention.

· Participates with the Claims Manager in staff meetings with the claims department employees’ staff to provide ongoing feedback of overall performance.

· Assist the Claims manager in the interviewing, hiring and evaluation of new employees in the claims department.

· Assists the Claims manager in the creation of claims runs.

· Monitors the productivity and quality of the claims staff to ensure that departmental standards are being met.

· Maintains claims turnaround time at the expected department and industry standards.

· Assists in maintaining spreadsheets for the reporting of claims receipts, productivity, quality and analysis of overall department performance.

· Review system limitations and department limitations and propose alternative methods of resolution.

· Assists the claims manager in the creation of finance payment files for purposes of provider claims payment.

· Coordinates departmental priorities with the other claims department management team in order to achieve departmental goals.

· Liaison to other departments outside of the claims department

· Special projects and other duties as assigned by senior management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
