Looking for a full-time or part-time insurance auto claims adjuster in the Southwest area of Indiana

Responsibilities

• Full-time auto damage field appraiser in southwest area of Indiana
• Inspecting, photographing, and writing auto damage field estimates
• Contacting and scheduling with assigned parties for claims
• Taking consistent, well formatted pictures of appraised damages, vehicles, properties, or equipment
• Travelling and managing workload on an independent schedule
• Completely and submitting claims estimated in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Prior auto appraising and estimating experience
• Experience with CCC ONE estimating system preferred
• Good communication and organization skills
• Dependable transportation and willing to commute around SW Indiana area
• Proficient in Word, Outlook, and basic computer skills

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Auto Appraiser to join our team. As an Auto Appraiser, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage and determining repair costs. Your expertise in auto body repair, estimating, and automotive service will be crucial in accurately appraising vehicles. You will work closely with insurance companies, underwriters, and auto service providers to negotiate fair and accurate settlements.

Duties:

- Inspect damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage

- Analyze repair estimates and determine the cost of repairs

- Utilize your knowledge of auto body repair techniques to evaluate the quality of repairs

- Collaborate with insurance companies and underwriters to negotiate fair settlements

- Communicate with auto service providers to ensure accurate estimates and repairs

- Document all findings and maintain detailed records of appraisals

- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in auto restoration techniques

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques and automotive service

- Proficient in auto estimating software and tools

- Excellent negotiation skills to ensure fair settlements

- Ability to analyze repair estimates and identify discrepancies

- Experience in underwriting or auto service management is a plus

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

- Familiarity with service writing and automotive repair terminology
