Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Clerical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Clerical Assistant, you will provide administrative support and assist with various clerical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our office.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general clerical duties, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
-Verify patient insurance information and pre-authorize procedures.
-Working directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to obtain insurance authorization one week ahead of scheduled patient visit.
-Review patient records for insurance data accuracy
-Update and maintain accurate patient medical records electronically.
- Process medical records requests.
- Provide customer support and address inquiries or concerns.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a clerical assistant or medical assistant.
- Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with office equipment, such as printers, scanners, and phone systems
- Knowledge of basic office procedures and protocols
- Experience in a medical clinic setting is a plus
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
-Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-Abililty to work independently and as part of a team.
-Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
-Demonstrated record of reliable attendance and punctuality.
-Certification as a medical assistant (highly preferred)
