    Haley Ward is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Entry Level Architect to join our Bangor, ME office. As an Entry Level Architect, you will work closely with our experienced architects and designers, assisting them on various projects to develop and creatively design concepts for clients. Our Entry Level Architect would receive instruction on project objectives, complex features, and possible solutions, working closely with the Senior Architect to provide solutions tailored to the needs of our clients.

    What you can expect to be doing:

    • Collaborate with senior architects and designers to develop architectural designs that meet client requirements
    • Assist in the creation of architectural drawings, renderings, and models
    • Conduct research on materials, building codes, and regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards
    • Assist in site visits and field surveys to gather data for project analysis
    • Support the team in preparing and reviewing project proposals, contracts, specifications and construction documents
    • Participate in design meetings and provide creative input on project concepts
    • Perform administrative tasks such as organizing project files, updating project schedules, and tracking project expenses

    Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in architecture

    What you will need to succeed:

    Required

    • A bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design software tools
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate architectural drawings
    • Good understanding of project management principles and ability to work within project timelines
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
    • A passion for architecture and a desire to learn and grow in the field
    • Valid driver's license & reliable transportation required

    Preferred

    • Previous internship or work experience in an architecture firm
    • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and LEED certification
    • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
    • Ability to create 3D models and visualizations using Revit or other BIM software
    • Knowledge of Bluebeam software
