Client/Server Architect provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of client/server systems. Analyzes client/server requirements to ensure the system meets performance needs. Being a Client/Server Architect recommends technology purchases that will support and enhance the client/server system. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Client/Server Architect is familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Client/Server Architect typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. Their Edmonton studio is busy and in need of an additional Architect to join their team. There is great potential in this role to grow into an integral part of this firms leadership team.

    THE ROLE
    You will be a well rounded architect, able to see projects through from start to finish and manage client relationships, mentor junior staff and project teams and work with municipal liaisons, design teams and subconsultants. You will be capable working on a variety of project typologies including commercial and mixed-use projects and have excellent communication skills. You will also be involved in business development, building relationships and bringing projects to the firm in time.

    WHAT'S REQUIRED
    • Registered Architect with AAA or eligible for registration
    • At least 8 years of industry experience
    • Experience with business development; well connected
    • Good leaderships skills with the desire to become an integral part of the leadership team in the future
    • Some experience with business development activities is an asset
    • Good Design and Technical skills
    • Capable to mentor junior staff
    • Experience using both Revit and AutoCAD
    • Based in Edmonton, Alberta
