May require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Additionally, Client/Server Programmer typically reports to a project leader or manager. To be a Client/Server Programmer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     ECPI University is seeking a Computer Programmer with understanding of applications development. Design and maintain internal programs and ensure that they are visually effective, accessible and easy to use.

    Responsibilities

    • Build, troubleshoot, and maintain applications.
    • Develop web applications
    • Use best practices to maintain and improve platforms/applications. 
    • Document code
    • Quality assurance testing upgrades, patches and new releases. 
    • Continually learn technologies, methodologies, and techniques.
    • Ability to work under tight time constraints with dynamic requirements.
    • Excellent organizational/time management, planning and prioritization skills.
    • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience

    • Four-year college degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant combination of training and comparable work experience.

     

    Skills/Abilities

    • Knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
    • Experience with commonly used programming Design concepts, practices and procedures.
    • Knowledge of modern IDEs, Microsoft Visual Studio knowledge a plus.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft .Net Programming.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
