Royal Home Health Care Services is looking for a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Attendant to join our team and provide quality care to our clients in their homes. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility. You will also help with household tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, shopping, and cooking. You will report to the Care Manager and follow the care plan for each client.
To be a successful Personal Care Attendant, you should have a passion for helping others and respect their dignity and preferences. You should also have good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team. You should be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the clients. The ideal candidate should be patient, empathetic, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they care for.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide personal care to clients in their homes according to the care plan.
2. Assist clients with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and medication reminders.
3. Perform household chores, such as laundry, cleaning, shopping, and cooking, maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment.
4. Monitor and report any changes in the client’s health or behavior.
5. Maintain accurate and timely records of the services provided.
6. Comply with the policies and procedures of the agency.
7. Respect the client’s privacy, confidentiality, and rights.
8. Be prepared to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, including contacting medical personnel if necessary.
JOB CONDITIONS
1. The PCA may work in various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, or healthcare institutions.
2. The job may require lifting and assisting clients with limited mobility.
3. The work schedule may include weekends, evenings, and holidays, depending on client needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification as a Personal Care Attendant or Aide or completion of a relevant training program is preferred.
3. Experience in providing personal care to elderly, disabled, or sick clients (preferred)
4. CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
5. Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation
6. Ability to pass a background check and drug test as required by state regulations.
7. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
8. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
